Thank you Amy! I just finished collating my books from 2025 and feeling refreshed and ready to build a little pile by my bedside. It was lovely to add most of these to my holds list, plus buy a couple as last minute gifts!
Entered this post like “okay let’s see what she put on the list” but as soon I saw you had included The wall I was sold! Loved that book sooo much, now I’ve bookmarked every other book I haven’t read on your list! My keepers this year were Yellowface, Hilary Mantels Cromwell-series, The parable of the sower, and Babetta (Swedish book not sure if it’s translated into English but it should be because it was goooood)
I listened to Wild Dark Shore audiobook because of your recommendation and I LOVED IT. I’m still waiting on my holds for the Clare Keegan books but I cannot wait. Thank you for compiling this list!

Donald Hall’s books of essays were two of my keepers this year! If you haven’t read them I recommend.
I read the wall years ago and still tell literally anyone that even mentions books about it. Even strangers. It has changed me.
